Objective
The Montgomery County Commissioners provide on-site child care as part of their commitment to strengthening family life through family oriented employee policies and benefits.  By providing high quality early learning child care programs at the Montgomery County Human Services Center and at Parkhouse at Providence Point, the Commissioners assist County government employees in meeting both their family and employment responsibilities.
Program Philosophy
The Montgomery County employee child care programs are committed to providing quality, developmentally appropriate, child centered, early care and learning services to the children of County employees. Teachers at the two child care programs are educated in all aspects of child development and early education, and offer a warm, nurturing environment that respects and fosters the individual growth and development of each child in their care.

Eligibility and Application for Employee Child Care Service
Enrollment at The Children's Place at Parkhouse and the Human Services Center Child Care Program is available to the children of County government employees, without regard to worksite location. Access to service at either of the programs is not an entitlement of County employment. Each site, and each classroom within a site, has a maximum capacity established by state regulation and therefore waiting lists for enrollment for the program and/or for a specific age group can occur.

Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis, without regard to race, sex, religion, disability or national origin. A completed Pre-Application form must be submitted to be considered as a formal request for enrollment and, if necessary, placement on a waiting list.
However, priority for enrollment is given as follows:
  • Full-time enrollment
  • Part-time enrollment
  • Non-contracted enrollment (less than 6 days in a pay period)
  • Drop-in/occasional/back-up care
Application should be made at the specific child care program where enrollment is being requested.
